Mrs. Emma Pearl Evans, age 96, of Rome, GA, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at a local nursing facility.

Mrs. Evans was born in Wilcox County, AL, on January 31, 1925, daughter of the late Samuel Edward Hopkins and the late Rosa Elma Burkett Hopkins. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the accounting profession. She was a member of Kennesaw United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Denver Conway Evans, and by 5 siblings.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Susan Hayes (Bill), Griffin, GA and Anita Roesch (David), Aragon; three grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, December 2, 2021, from the graveside at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens in Acworth, GA. The Rev. Don Spears will officiate.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangements.
