Emily Grace Whitcomb (Carter), 32, of Newark, Delaware, passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2024, due to a tragic car accident. Born on June 18, 1992, Emily was a shining light of compassion, resilience, and joy who touched countless lives through her work and kindness.

Emily dedicated her career to helping others as a social worker, specializing in at-risk youth programs. Her own challenging childhood inspired her to make a difference in the lives of others, and her unwavering dedication made her a beloved figure in her community. Emily’s warmth and generosity extended beyond her work—she had a talent for baking and delighted in sharing her creations with friends, family, and those in need.

Emily is survived by her devoted husband, Kevin Whitcomb, whom she married on April 12, 2020, in an intimate and loving ceremony. She also leaves behind her parents, James and Linda Carter of Newark, Delaware; her younger brother, Matthew Carter of Wilmington, Delaware; her grandmother, Eleanor Carter of Dover, Delaware; and her two rescue dogs, Milo and Daisy, whom she adored.

Emily’s vibrant presence and compassionate heart will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her. Her memory will live on in the lives she changed and the love she gave so freely.
