So sad to hear.. I was her neighbor for 5 years and was very sad to hear of her passing. I wish she could have held on a little longer. I was looking forward to catching up this month after many years away from the island. I have thought of her often. So sorry for your loss. She will be missed. What a wonderful, funny and sweet neighbor
Emily, Emily, Emily … the most adorable friend I had … to this day I put on eyeliner the way Emily did. What a treasure. How I regret losing touch … totally my fault.
Emily was the best friend and neighbor. She and I shared and laughed much. I do miss her. She was kind and sweet. I miss her dear heart. Rest In Peace Em.
Best of friends for over sixty-five years. Spending hours on the phone sharing our life stories. So sad the way the story ends. Her family, friends, Emerald Isle and all her collectibles were so important to her. And, of course, the cats. Love you Em and miss you terribly. I know Rich will be with you. Always in my heart.
I was so sorry to hear about Emily's passing. She was such a caring and fun person. Will miss our long discussion about old movies and politics. I was greatful to have known her for the past twenty years and miss her.
What a special person Emily was and what a special family! It was a pleasure to meet and spend time with her family at her place…Emerald Isle. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family.
Emily was always fun to be around. I loved her and will miss her immensely. In her last weeks in Raleigh we went to some of the special places she missed while living at the beach…. Raleigh Rose Garden and riding the train and carousel at Pullen Park. We enjoyed bingo together, where Emily won a few times to her delight. Sleep gently Em.
