Emilio's obituary
Emilio Perez III, age 60, passed away on December 30, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in San Antonio and spent much of his life as a longtime resident of Laredo, Texas, and Uvalde, Texas.
Emilio proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran and later dedicated his career to public service as a retired Laredo Airport Police Officer. His commitment to duty, integrity, and protecting others defined both his professional and personal life.
Emilio is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Sandra Perez; his baby sister, Marlene Perez; his sister, Leticia “Letty” De La Cerda; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his beloved pet, Mason Perez.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carrie Perez; his children, Melissa Perez (Jorge Garcia) and Daniel Perez (Zach Zambrano); his cherished grandchildren, Esperanza “Hope” Molina and Lucas Molina; and his father, Emilio Perez Jr.
He is also survived by his siblings: Alex Perez (Lisa), Mari Perez (Mike Jimenez), George Perez (Diane), Emilio Perez (Gloria), and Wicho De La Cerda, along with 11 nieces and 9 nephews, all of whom he loved deeply.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to support them during this time consider contributing to a GoFundMe established by his daughter to assist with funeral expenses.
Emilio will be remembered for his devotion to family, his service to his community and country, and the steady presence he was to those who knew and loved him.
