It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Emmanuel on Thursday September 9, 2021.

He was born September 6, 1944 to Robinson and Cecilia Mba in Umuhu, Nigeria.

Emmanuel was a proud, kind, gentle, and strong minded man who loved to tell stories of his life experiences including culture, traditions, notable people and his journey from Nigeria to Canada.

He was a Hematology Scientist who loved teaching and impacting those he came across.

Emmanuel was an active man who particularly followed soccer, golf and tennis. He especially enjoyed bringing family and friends together to share the Nigerian culture, music and food. He was fond of cooking, dancing and entertaining. His laughter was infectious and he will truly be missed.

Spouse; Micheline Mba. Children: Melinda, Benjamin, Carla, Richard. Grandchildren: Hannah, Naomi, Gabriel, Charlie, Angelina, Luke, Makai, Shayna, Celia, Janae, Paul, Titus. Siblings: Sarah, Charles, Nwakaku, Chinyere, Ngozi, Chijioke, Chikezie, Onyekwere, Nnenna.
