Emanuel Giles passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2025, in Ohio. Born on July 22, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio, Emanuel lived a life filled with faith, laughter, and love.

He was the beloved son of the late Gloria McGrapth and Emanuel Valentine. Emanuel was best known for his charismatic yet warm spirit, sharp sense of humor, and the wisdom he freely shared with everyone around him. A true storyteller at heart, he could turn any moment into a lesson, a laugh, or a long lasting memory.

He found great joy in attending church, singing, listening to music—all which brought him peace and kept him grounded throughout his life.

Emanuel was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria and Emanuel; his sister, Linda Giles; two nieces and best friend, Alfred “Goldie” Roberts.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, TaShea Giles and Glory Giles; his siblings, Sharon, John, Kim, and Sextur; five grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will continue to celebrate his life and the many stories he shared.

Emanuel’s presence will be deeply missed, however the love, laughter, and wisdom he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Please keep his daughters and family covered in prayer as they prepare to celebrate his home going.
