Elza Garbacki, 87, born in Brazil on October 20, 1938, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025. She was preceded in death by her former husband and all of her siblings. She leaves behind two daughters, Brenda and Elizabeth, and one cherished grandson, Andrew.

Elza’s life was marked by both struggle and resilience. She carried invisible burdens that shaped her path and often made it difficult for her to find the calm and steadiness she sought. Even so, at her core, she was a woman longing for comfort, safety, and belonging — though these were sometimes hard for her to accept or hold onto. 

She spent her final three months under hospice care, surrounded by compassion and gentleness, and passed in peace. Throughout her life, she found solace in the memory of her beloved mother, Rufina. It is our hope that in passing, she is finally reunited with her, and that the rest and peace that often slipped away from her in life have now gently found her.
