Elwin K Davis, age 80, of St. George, Utah, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in St. George, Utah after a battle with pneumonia and cancer.

Elwin was born on May 7, 1942 to Rulon and Ruby Nelson Davis in Glendale, California. He served in the Southern Far East mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and learned Mandarin serving in Taiwan. He later graduated from Brigham Young University earning a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.

On May 20, 1967, Elwin married “Shirley” Wen-Hui Sung in the Manti Temple and they had four children. Elwin and Shirley moved to St. George in 2003.

Elwin was predeceased by his mother and father and two brothers. He is survived by his brother: Robert (Helen); his devoted wife: Shirley; and children: Elaine (David), I-Shuan (Ryan), Nelson (Hilary), and I-Kang (Camille). He has 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held on Friday, February 24, at 10:00am, at the LDS Chapel at 1155 North 1400 West, St. George. A Viewing began at 9:00am, prior to the service. Friends unable to attend are invited to view the recorded video of the service. Burial followed at 3:30pm in the Hinckley Cemetery.
