Elvis Joseph Kersey was born at Charity Hospital in New Orleans Louisiana on December 16th 1979. He has lived on the westbank for 27 years then moved to St. Bernard Parish Louisiana and became a permanent resident for the past 13 years. He was an OTR truck driver for Loudon County Trucking in Loudon Tennessee for a few years. Sadly to announce Elvis passed away in New Orleans Louisiana with his wife next to him in her arms and 2 other family members who were present at the time(Aunt Cheryl Aiola & Brother n Law John Paul Doane, Sr.) In March 16th, 2021. His passing was due to issues/complications with his intestines and stomach area. He had over 200 hundred surgical procedures post right kidney renal mass cancer. Even though his body may have given out. He had a strong will to survive and his spirit could never be broken. He was a good husband, son, father, grandfather "Paw Paw", brother, friend and the kind of person who would help out others in need without expectations. He will always be sadly missed and FOREVER loved by his family and the lives of people he has touched. He is proceeded in death of his loving wife of 17 years, Deborah Doane Kersey, his son Noah N. Charette, stepdaughters, stepson and son n law, Cristina Ramirez, Anthony Delise(son n law), Victoria Ramirez, GaBriella Ramirez & Belko Ramirez-II, his grandkids Demitri D'Arcy, Sadie Ramirez, Lydia Ramirez, Eliza Delise and Rowen Metzler, his sisters Monica Kersey & Heather M. Gerhold, his brothers, Robert A. Kersey, Jr(deceased) & Brian Elvis Joseph Gerhold, his adoptive parents Robert Anthony Kersey(deceased) & Earline Melancon Kersey(deceased), his biological parents Madeleine Marie Melancon(deceased) & biological father Elvis Joseph Gerhold. Between Elvis Kersey and Deborah Kersey they shared five kids and five grandchildren who he loved dearly. He was a member at Celebration Church located in Arabi, LA 70032. Below is where his service is to be held.
