Elvia's obituary

Elvia Muños Ramirez passed on to heaven on February 15, 2026, surrounded by her children in the ICU. Elvia was born in Huajuapan de León, Oaxaca, Mexico, where she will be laid to rest.

Elvia was the beloved daughter of Miguel Ramirez, who passed on to heaven in 2021, and Elenor Ramirez. She was the eldest sister to two brothers, a devoted mother to four children, and a loving grandmother to two grandchildren. Elvia was a faithful Christian who found great joy in being a daughter of God.

Elvia immigrated to the United States in the late 1980s, where she began working in the fields picking fruit. It was there that she met her husband, Lorenzo, our dad. Our mom was our prime example of what it means to work hard. Whether she was picking fruit, running a lonchera, or managing our busy and often chaotic household, she remained the most nurturing and dependable mother, doing it all while facing chronic health challenges.

Elvia bravely battled years of renal failure, requiring dialysis three times a week. Even on the days she felt exhausted, she came home to her family, made dinner, stayed present, and continued to attend church several times a week. She was also a dedicated caretaker to a disabled child whom she deeply loved and cared for.

Our mom always chose to see the bright side of life. She carried herself with strength, faith, and quiet resilience, never allowing her struggles to overshadow her love for others. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith will forever remain in our hearts.

Our mom's legacy lives on through the lives she touched, with her compassion, infectious laugh, and her enduring love. We are forever heartbroken but know that she is forever in our hearts guiding us. She is deeply missed and forever cherished.
