Elsie Jeanette "Jan" Clements, aged 76, of Pinehurst, passed away on November 29, 2024 after a long battle with dementia.
Elsie was born on February 2, 1948 to parents Charles Lee Petersen and Wanda Rose Gray Petersen in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Westbury High School in 1967 and went on to work as a skip tracer then in hospitality as a motel manager and also managing sales in landscaping and air conditioning industries.
Elsie was married 4 times and went on be a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to three children, three remarkable grandchildren and one very special great-grandchild. Known as Mom, Momma J, Jeanette, Jan, Elsie, Mawga, & Gigi, she was a second mom to some, and a true and gracious friend. She loved her family, friends and her cats most of all.
Elsie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Lee Petersen, her mother, Wanda Rose Gray Petersen, and her brother, Charles Lee Petersen, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Charles Jenkins, her daughter, Christine Mundy and husband, Mark, her daughter, Victoria Fernandez, her grandchildren, Rhiannon Champagne and husband, Kevin, Nicholas Fernandez, Nicole Fernandez and her great-grandchild, Rachel Reed-Champagne.
Services will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, in Magnolia, Tx. on December 13, 2024 at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Elsie's Memorial Fund to help cover funeral expenses.
