Eloise's obituary

MOTHER (By Tamsen Butler)
“More loving than most
Often right, even when I thought she was wrong
Truly my biggest cheerleader
Heaven welcomed her with open arms
Every day without her will be empty
Radiance has now moved on.”

We are deeply saddened to report the death of Eloise Mae Moffet, who passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2021 at the age of 73. Eloise will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and her extended family and friends, both old and new.

Eloise was born to parents Paul and Anna Myrle Moffet, on 09/13/1947 in Glendale, CA. She graduated from Butte County High School (Arco, ID) in 1965. She went on to study Accounting at Idaho State University and graduated with a Business Administration degree as well as completing her CPA all while raising two children and working as a single mother.

Eloise worked many years in the field of Procurement for Department of Energy contractors eventually becoming the Procurement/Supply Chain Manager for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Over the course of her career, Eloise made an impression on many that worked with her and for her. Aside from her intelligence and confidence, she was known and respected for being fierce and feisty as well as fair and honest. She retired from LLNL in 2010.

Eloise greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved tailgating and attending Oakland Athletics baseball and Stanford University football games, as well as cheering on the Denver Broncos. She took great pleasure in short trips to Las Vegas for Cirque du Soleil shows and dancing at the Carnival Court. If she had the chance, you would find Eloise at any live music event with her favorites being The Rolling Stones, Bob Seger and Billy Idol.

Eloise is survived by her daughter, Amy Trenchak of Livermore, CA and her son Brian Trenchak, plus daughter-in-law Abigail and grandchildren Addison and Grant, of Santa Clara, CA. She is also survived by many loving cousins and devoted friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local food banks, animal shelters (ASPCA) or Foster Care organizations, as these charities were special to Eloise. A celebration of life (or two or three) will be planned for a future time when larger gatherings and travel are safe again.
