It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Elmer Shepherd on May 15, 2025. Born on April 4, 1942, Elmer lived a full and vibrant life, touching the lives of many with his humor and straightforwardness.

Predeceased by his mother, Ocie Johnson, and his father, Milton Shepherd, Elmer found himself surrounded by a large and loving family who will continue to uphold his legacy. His laughter, candid demeanor, and invaluable lessons on kindness will continue to resonate with those who knew him.

Elmer has left behind a considerable clan of Shepherds. His sons, Douglas, Jeffrey, Mike, Roy Mccall, Keith, and David Shepherd will carry on his name and teachings with honor and pride. His grandsons, Andrew, Matthew, Ryan, Paul, Justin, and Dustin, and his granddaughters, Samantha Duty, Christa Milligan, Christine Milligan jr, and Christie Milligan,Kimberly Shepherd, Ashley, and Chelsea Hair will undoubtedly continue his legacy of kindness and humor in their own lives. And all his great grandchildren.

Elmer was known for his quick wit and an ability to make anyone laugh, his personality made him a joy to be around. But more than being the life of the party, Elmer had a heart full of kindness, always teaching his children, grandchildren and everyone around him about the importance of being kind to one another.

Elmer's greatest legacy was, without doubt, his family. His life was a testament to the love he had for them, and it is that love that will keep his memory alive in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. Elmer Shepherd will be sorely missed, but his spirit will continue to live on through his family and the countless lives he has touched."
