Thank you all for the outpouring of love and assistance! My mom, Jarrett, and I have felt supported through this sudden and devastating loss. If you were able to attend the celebration of life, you probably heard Tony Gordon say, "look around, Russ was loved!" And it's so true. My dad was a great father, Big Daddy, husband for over 50 years, brother (biologically and as a lifelong Delt), and friend to everyone he met. He will be missed. Please hug your loved ones, share the stories about dad, and tell a joke whenever possible!

Elmer Russell Echols, Jr (“Russ”) died peacefully on February 23, 2025. He was born October 4, 1950, in Sanford, Florida to Elmer Russell Echols, Sr (“Tickle”) and Gertrude Elisabeth Echols (“Peg”). He was the older brother of William Hewitt Echols and John Wilson Echols. After a brief move to Texas as a child, Russ returned to the Sanford area where he graduated from high school.
