Chip's obituary
Chip was born in Mercersburg, PA and over his lifetime has lived in several cities in both Pennsylvania and Florida. In his younger days, he was active in outdoor activities like horseback riding, camping, snowmobiling, hunting, water-skiing and fishing. During this time, he also survived being shot in the face from a ricochet bullet while hunting and having a semi-truck tire blow up in his face. As he aged, he pared back to mostly fishing, boating and camping. He also survived a bout with prostate cancer. Of course, he has always enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids whenever he could. A discussion of retirement with him was a short one; he had no intention of retiring claiming he gets bored too easily. He worked as a dump truck driver up to the day he was unable to drive anymore. Although his last days were not as he (or any of us) would have liked them, he did live a full life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He will be missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life memorial will be held Saturday 13 November 2021 at Sunrise Park (135 Riverside Drive, Holly Hill, FL). Please stop by to share a story and fondly reminisce about Chip. Also, in lieu of flowers, we are asking to put the money to better use by donating to the American Cancer Society and/or the American Diabetes Association.
