Elliot's obituary
Elliot Rosenberg passed away on November 14, 2021. He was 77 years old.
Elliot was born on June 13, 1945, to Joseph and Millie (née Chaifetz) Rosenberg. He grew up in Bronx, New York, with his siblings, Ruby and Leo. He studied at Hunter University in New York, and then at Oregon State University. Elliot joined the Peace Corps in Fiji as an agricultural economist and enjoyed living, working and traveling abroad, including the Solomon Islands, Micronesia, New Zealand and Israel, along the way making lifelong friends and connections. He worked as a senior economist for the Environmental Protection Agency for 21 years, retiring in 2015. He most recently lived in Issaquah, Washington, keeping in touch with family and friends all over the world, as well as his local community. He was an avid dog lover and most recently welcomed Boone into his home after losing his beloved dog Taffy.
Elliot is survived by nieces Marlaine Glicksman, Dana Glicksman and Melanie Anspacher (née Rosenberg), as well as great-niece Layla Anspacher, and great-nephews Yared Glicksman and Cole Anspacher; numerous cousins dear to him in Israel; and Dan and Penny Ellison and their extensive New Zealand family, whom he called his own.
We are grateful to have received support from friends and family all over the world during this difficult time. We express sincere gratitude to Elliot's neighbors, his Chabad community, and close friends Catharine and Eric Walkinshaw for their support during Elliot's life and at the time of his passing.
