Elliana's obituary

Elliana Nicole Jenniges, beautiful daughter and a true gift from God, was born on August 15, 2024 to Joshua and Lydia Jenniges. Later that same day, in the arms of her mama, our sweet girl left this life to be with Jesus. She was welcomed in Heaven by many family and friends. Elliana lives today celebrating the goodness of the Lord. We have been forever changed by her life and know that one day we will be reunited with her again.

During the months that her mama carried her, Elliana loved to hear the voices of her daddy, mommy and her big brothers. While she was in her mother’s womb, she joyfully danced around as much as her big brothers. Each day she wiggled and kicked around as she listened to the worship and promises of God sung and read to her by her mom. She “met” so many friends who came along to encourage and speak life over her. Our sweet girl is richly blessed and in the short time she spent on this earth she blessed and continues to bless countless others.

Psalm 100:4-5 says “Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting, and His faithfulness to all generations.” Elliana is a reward, a blessing from the Lord. She is His handiwork, chosen before the foundations of the world and created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for her to do. Even though Elliana’s time on earth was much too short, she still managed to bring people together, and in that time she was able to show us what it looks like to rest in the peace and goodness of God. Elliana inspires us to walk each day by faith, trust and confidence in Jesus, the ONE who is the way, the truth and the life.

Elliana’s life is joyfully celebrated by her parents, Josh and Lydia, and her brothers, Everett and Asher. She is so loved by her grandparents Carol Jenniges, Julie Jenniges, & Tom and Beth Walkley, along with her big extended family of uncles, aunts and cousins:

Chris & Mary Jenniges (Addison, Molly & Paul), Mike & Sarah McCubbin (Ian, Sadie, Flynn, Anna, Bennett, Abel, Elliott, Bob and Julia), Ben & Kelly Walkley (Gaby, Carter, Eli, Judah, Grace and Gigi), Ben and Lizzy Ronk (Adley, Silas, Ethan and Jonah) and Woody & Lily Walton (August & Asa).

Today, we are confident Elliana is safe and secure in Heaven, happily content on the lap of her grandpa Dick Jenniges. We are also sure that her great-grandparents Gerald & Katherine Jenniges, Robert Clitty, George and Dorothy Gustin, Alex and Mary Naumoff, and Ruth and Olin Walkley and so many other family members and friends are right there with him waiting for a turn to hold her, squish her cheeks and look into her beautiful eyes. Elliana will always be loved by family on both sides of eternity. Until we see her again, we know that she will live every moment loved by Jesus and surrounded by people who love her.

“The Lord your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

A celebration of Elliana’s life will be held at Norton Apostolic Christian Church, 3816 Greenwich Rd, Norton, Ohio 44203 on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 12:00pm with a meal to follow.
