Background
Ellen was an active volunteer in her retirement.
She worked with the Lighthouse of Broward County for more than 15 years in her retirement. She led a book group for the blind and visually impaired community. Their discussions were a great source of pride for her an she took such care in selecting books to share with the group.
She also volunteered at the Humane Society of Broward County, where she worked in adoptions and met her beloved best friend, Lexie. Once a month, she used her counseling background to lead a Pet Loss Support Group.
Ellen was a support of the American Lung Association and their work, due to instances of lung disease in her family. Contribute to Lighthouse of Broward County
