Ellen was my bartender and I was a lunch time regular at Clyde's.  She was humorous and a fun spirit I was drawn to. She later moved on from Clyde's, I lost track of her, and I eventually retired into the pandemic. I had been trying to find out where she was working so I could say hello and share a drink with her. But now, I'm sadly sending my goodbyes into the ether, the vastness of the heavens,  after finding out rather late that she's gone on to the next level. I'll miss you and I hope we meet again in the next lifetime.  My condolences to all her family and all the friends and regulars who knew her so much better than I did.
Ellen and I used to talk on the phone for hours. I hate to talk on the phone but for some reason, I always enjoyed talking to Ellen. We'd laugh and talk smack to each other as well as talk about our diseases. I was going through some of the same things she was with government agencies and how our bodies were changing. Two hours would go buy without us even realizing it! I still have a message from her on my voicemail that I will never delete. I listen to it just to hear her voice. I miss her so much. She was a good friend and we supported each other through some tough shit. I am forever grateful for her and think of her often.
Years and years and years and years ago back when I first started working, Clydes, lunch shift for multiple years before you could get Night Shift in those days. Ellen and I would always cut the hell out of about 1 million limes and lemons and she would always beat me to the punch and come over to my bar and Talk shit, in a great way of course, while I was finishing my fruit. This became a tradition that we did quite often when time allotted. This began the beginning of a long and memorable friendship that I always valued once it was established. You will be missed Ellen, much love. ❤️

I was lucky to hang out with Hera few times.Kathy Mac is one of my best friends. I took her on my boat a few times. We laughed we danced to my music. She was happy and her soul was awesome. I knew she struggled but those days were nothing but sunshine saltwater and laughter. Ellen you we great. Rest easy. I’ll see you on that other shore.

Ellen was my first real bartender that was a friend. I would leave work late and she would listen to my life’s stories and give me advice. She was kind, funny, and she knew exactly what everyone needed.  I’m grateful to have known her and blessed to be her friend. One this night we were actually hanging out after a wizards game and our bartender was Frank who was also a legend at Clydes. God bless her and her family and I’m thankful for all our memories.
