So sorry for your loss. Ellen was such a positive, fun and strong person. While we did not spend much time together as we all got older, my memories of all of the good times we had as kids, will always be with me. We all loved going to Nate and Sharon’s house and enjoying a good meal and good times in the basement for the kids.

Mr. Erwin, I'm sorry for your loss. You must see how valued Ellen was to her students and her friends, and I hope that gives you some solace. Take good care.

I was so sorry to hear about Ellen's passing. She was truly one of the most amazing people I have ever encountered in my life. I know that no one is truly perfect, and there are very few people for which I cannot find at least a small negative thing to say. But Ellen was one of those people. She truly brought joy and happiness to everyone with whom she interacted and left a lasting impact on my family and me. When I think of how a person should model how one should enjoy life and treat others with ultimate kindness, I think of Ellen. My greatest condolences to Ed, Janna, Ben, and the entire family, and I pray for you all during this difficult time. However, you are truly blessed to have Ellen as major part of your life as well as all of us who had a chance to know her.

This condolence is to Mr. Ed Erwin and his children. I remembered Ellen from my elementary school days in Flora. Also, I remembered her singing songs while playing her guitar at Washington School. She was a great teacher and a great lady.

We remember Ellen as living life to the fullest. There was no stopping her when she had her mind set on something. She had an infectious smile and was so friendly. We miss Ellen and will remember all the laughter she brought to our Garden Club meetings.

Ellen always had a smile to greet people. She made you feel welcome in her home and in her presence. Each time I travelled to Flora I would visit Ed and Ellen and feel blessed to visit with them. She was one whom you always enjoyed being around. Thank you, Ellen, for being my friend.

Ellen as you all.know.was a very sweet women. The thing I remember most about her is when she would tell me she loves to have "forced"family fun. She was a great boss at Xenia Grad School.

Aunt Ellen was truly a one-of-a-kind woman, continuing on through adversity, telling endlessly entertaining stories, and filled with life even as her disease slowed her body. She will be deeply missed.

Next to Mrs. B, Lucy Burgess… Mrs. Erwin was one of the best educators in Clay county. I remember helping in her room as a room mother where she would play the guitar for her students. One of them was one of my children. She signed a light on every individual she came into contact within the school environment. She was a definite role model; loved and respected by legions of other humans. What a loss.
