Grandma Elizabeth passed away on October 26, 2022 surrounded by all those that loved her. Born on October 30, 1929, Grandma Elizabeth spent many wonderful years spreading joy to any and all around her. A comfort to many and a joy to all, most of her time was spent taking care of her family, her friends, and her community.

 Grandma  Elizabeth met John R Washington Jr  love of her life.   They raised 6 beautiful children: Diana (Washington) White, John Washington III, Leroy Washington, Arnold Washington, Darlene (Washington) Henry, Lorin Washington in Hartford CT. Later in life, Grandma Elizabeth enjoyed volunteering whatever the occasion, knitting, watching soaps on television, reading, photography, just enjoying the presence of her family.   She worked 30+ years as a community activist created Housing Now Inc.  She was instrumental in obtaining funding for over 2,000 individuals in acquiring houses. She served as notary public, Justice of the peace. She was on the board of Directors of North Hartford Churches for the Aging.

 A loving and wonderful woman of God until the very end, she will be greatly missed.

She has earned her crown.

Going Home Service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022.  Viewing 11am-12:00pm immediately following will be the service. Full Gospel Foundation Building Ministries Int'l Worship Center 42 East Dudley Town Rd. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetary on Mountain Rd Bloomfield CT.

All Faith Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
