We regretfully announce the passing of Elizabeth "Betty" Tully of Petrolia, ON, Canada on September 12, 2022. Elizabeth passed away peacefully with her loving husband Gord at her side. Our mother, Elizabeth, was one of the kindest, most caring and strongest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as its head. Elizabeth worked for Esso Chemical and then "retired" early to open and run a bed and breakfast in Petrolia’s Crescent Park with her husband Gord for 20 years where they made many new friends whom they continued to cherish. She loved serving the community and was involved in many activities in Petrolia including the Victoria Playhouse, Petrolia Discovery, Lambton Meadowview Villa women's auxiliary and many others. She was also the neighbourhood dog grandma and kept a box of treats at each door for the dogs walking by with their owners whom she befriended. Elizabeth was a wonderful and loving mother and wife who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents Earl and Dorothea Lawrence, her children Shelly and Gerald Robinson. She is survived by her loving husband Gord Tully, her children Connie Robb (Ricky), Katherine Robinson, Susan Robinson, Gwendolyn Sayers, Joseph Robinson (Jacqueline), Cindy Unternahrer (Fred), Karen Gnitecki (Jim), Mark Tully (Rita) and Patricia "Trish" Tully. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Please consider a donation in Elizabeth’s name to St Joseph's Hospice Sarnia or Petrolia Discovery as these organizations were important to her. A visitation will be held at Needham Jay funeral home in Wyoming followed by a reception at the Petrolia Lions Hall. Dates will be announced when plans are finalized.
