Elizabeth M. Tremper

Clayton, N.J. - Bettye Tremper, formally Bettye Mansi, passed away at the home she loved after a long illness on April 18, 2025. She was born on January 28, 1949 in Philadelphia to Salvatore and Evelyn (Robishaw) Mansi.

Bettye graduated from Sterling High School, Class of 1967. Following graduation, Bettye began a thirty-two year career with E. I. DuPont at the Marshall Laboratory in Philadelphia as a confidential secretary in the Human Resources Department. Bettye married a fellow DuPont employee, Pete Tremper, and they were together for forty-eight years. Both were very active in events held by the Porsche Club of America. Throughout her life, Bettye was interested in gardening, crafting, sewing, cooking and entertaining. She was especially loved for hosting family gatherings and reunions.

Bettye is survived by her husband Pete and her sisters Kathy (Mike) Cammarota and Geri (Bob) Johnson, as well as her five nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews.

Those who wish to remember Bettye in a special way can make gifts in her memory to the Clayton Historical Society. A Celebration of Life will be held for her at a later time.
