It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Tiroly, 57, a devoted mother, caring friend, and valued family member. Elizabeth left this world on September 16, 2024, leaving behind her four beloved daughters: Maggie, Celeste, Isabel, and Sheena and granddaughter Ruth. Her unwavering love and dedication to her girls were the cornerstones of her life.

Born in Toms River, NJ, to Thomas E. Burke and MaryEllen Murphy Burke, Elizabeth was the second of six siblings in a loving military family. Her childhood was enriched by adventures abroad, living in Brussels and the Washington, D.C. metro area before making her way to New York City & New Jersey for school and work. She ultimately settled in Point Pleasant, NJ where she cherished every moment spent with her daughters, attending their dance recitals, cheer meets, field hockey, softball, and basketball games.

A nurturing soul, Elizabeth was known for her selflessness and her ability to brighten the lives of everyone around her. Multiple summers, she transformed her backyard into a magical theater, running drama camps that culminated in spectacular Broadway productions, where her daughters and their friends discovered the joy of creativity and performance. She dedicated her time to caring for the elderly, both in their homes and at local nursing homes, providing companionship and comfort to those in need. She found joy in gardening, family game nights and music which filled her home.

She believed in the power of kindness and made it her mission to uplift those around her, whether through a warm meal, a listening ear, or a helping hand. She had a special relationship with her NJ family, especially her aunts, whom she often helped with home chores, decorating or just sharing her time.

Elizabeth loved hosting family gatherings, from festive Christmas brunches, lively Super Bowl gatherings and summer lobster feasts by the pool. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and laughter, where cherished memories were made over home cooked meals.

Elizabeth leaves behind a loving family, including her parents, four sisters, one brother, her four daughters, and a beloved granddaughter. She is also survived by many special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Elizabeth's adventurous spirit, kindness, and love for family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, Oct. 12, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Pt. Pleasant Beach NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support Elizabeth’s four daughters as they navigate this difficult time. Any support will be deeply appreciated
