• Elizabeth Ellen (preferred name; Ellen)Tabor from Gurnee passed away peacefully on March 11, 2022 at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wi. She was 86. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 60 years Robert Tabor, daughter Lisa Jones Mueller(Mike), Granddaughter Marisa Jones, sister in law Sue Morrison, niece Megan Morrison Andriano (Adam), nephew Travis Morrison (Dezi), her niece’s children Aggie and Max.

She was preceded in death by her son Edward Tabor(2010), her parents James and Grace Morrison, her brothers Jim Morrison and Fred Morrison and many of her friends. Ellen was born in 1935 in Chicago and as a young girl would go to the matinee on Saturday just to watch the shows in between movies, they would star the likes of Laurel and Hardy, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis and many others she spoke of over the years. She loved ice skating and dreamed of becoming an ice skater. Instead, she became a teacher of science and then gym. Ellen graduated from Eastern Illinois University with her teaching degree. She worked at schools in Waukegan and in Gurnee at Spaulding and Gurnee Glrade. She married the love of her life Robert Tabor in 1961. They had two children and enjoyed many family activities a swimming pool in the summer , boating excursions and many adventurous camping trips along with friends and family. She and Bob enjoyed many winters in Florida. They loved to travel and went on tropical cruises and to Alaska. She really enjoyed her early retirement. Ellen also loved her dog Snickers and she especially loved her newest grand doggy Prince. Ellen was loved, she was one of a kind and will be truly missed. Rest In Peace.
