Elizabeth C. Scott, 95, of Batavia, IL, passed away in her home on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Elizabeth was born on November 20, 1924, in Hagerstown, MD, the daughter of Francis and Clara Camper. Elizabeth grew up on the east coast, mostly in Dover, DE, until meeting and marrying Duncan Scott in Ithaca, NY, in 1947. They moved together to Ames, IA, in 1949, and were there until 2002 when they moved into the Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia. Elizabeth always enjoyed getting together with family and was regularly doing family Zoom sessions over the past few months. Travelling the world was a special love of hers over the years, getting the opportunity to experience a wide variety of cultures. Elizabeth is survived by her children and their spouses, Bob and Nancy Scott, Jim and Muriel Scott, and Susan Weber and Eric Claeys; her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Randolph, Rawlins and Harry Camper, and her husband, Duncan. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
