Elizabeth's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Sandoval, a remarkable woman, devoted mother, and diligent servant of God. Born on June 8, 1935, Elizabeth departed this world peacefully on August 18, 2025. She embodied divine grace, radiating her Christian faith and love for others throughout her life.
Elizabeth is survived by her beloved sons, Johnny, Abraham, Robert, Jack, and her loving daughter, Ramona Youssef. She was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Mary, and her devoted husband, Pastor Edward Sandoval. Elizabeth Sandoval also has 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, Toribio Rivera and Manuela Rivera, and her brothers Val, Elias, Ruben, and Rudy. Her deceased sisters include Rachel Sandoval, Rebecka Jimenez, Ruth Esquer, Julia Aguilar, and Libby Garcia. Elizabeth is survived by her beloved siblings: Frank Rivera, Toby Rivera, David Rivera, Angel Rivera, Gloria Zamora, and Margie Garay.
Her life and legacy are treasured by her devoted children, who reflect the strong faith and enduring love that she instilled in them. As a fervent attendee of Christ the Rock New Life Ministries, Elizabeth wore her faith like a badge of honor. She was often described as a Christian warrior with a heart of gold, exemplifying virtues of patience, kindness, and forgiveness that she practiced and preached throughout her life. Her indelible lessons will forever resonate with those fortunate enough to have known her.
From a young age, Elizabeth dedicated herself to serving the Lord, a mission she pursued passionately throughout her life. Together with her husband, Pastor Edward Sandoval, she helped lay the foundation of Christ the Rock Church, a testament to her fervent faith and labor of love. Her unwavering dedication to the Church and ministry has left an enduring legacy, serving as a beacon of faith for the community.
Elizabeth's life transcended the ordinary; it was a journey of faith, love, and selfless service. She made an indelible mark on the hearts of many, and her legacy will continue to inspire and guide all who were touched by her spirit. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, for she has returned to the arms of our Creator, assuredly to hear the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
