Liz's obituary

Elizabeth “Liz” Delcie Dye Martin passed away peacefully in her home on November 11, 2024, with her devoted husband by her side. Liz, as most knew her by, was born in Fort Dix, NJ on March 20th, 1964, to her loving parents, Willie and Jane Dye. She moved to Olympia, WA when she was very young and remained there until her passing. She spent her youth making many memories with her siblings, Anthony, Jim, and Bob. She had a deep love of holidays, especially Christmas that she carried with her into her adult life. Some of her happiest moments were around Christmas being surrounded by her three children, grandchildren, and her husband. She loved the Oregon coast and would often take trips there with Rob. She would describe it as her “happy place” and being there with her best friend always made it special. To know Liz was to know how special the love between her and Rob is. They were inseparable for most of the 36 years they have been together. Rob cared for her when she became ill with dedication, rarely seen. Liz also had a deep sense of family and truly loved being a grandmother and a mother. You can see the pride beam from her smile in every picture with her family. Elizabeth was proceeded in death by both her parents, Willie and Jane Dye. She is survived by her husband Robert Martin, her children Stephen Solid, Stacie Solid Thompson, Stanley Solid, along with their spouses and her 8 grandchildren.
