Elizabeth's obituary
Elizabeth L. Mansour passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at her home in Woodbridge. She was 75 years old.
Born on October 4, 1948 in El-Mahalla El-Kubra, Egypt to the late Elaine Dawoud Moawad and Labib Attalla Awad, she has resided in Woodbridge since 1986.
Mrs. Mansour retired in 2003 after 20 years as a forensic chemist with the New York City Police Department. She attended Colonia Chapel in Clark, NJ and Park Street Chapel in Roselle, NJ.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mansour is predeceased by her husband, Nabil Yessa Mansour, in 2018; and brothers, Nagi Labib Awad and Louis Labib Awad.
Surviving are her son Daniel and his girlfriend, Robyn Maniscalco, of Keyport; son Timothy of Warren; daughter-in-law Lauren; grandchildren Madeline, Marigold, and Brighton Mansour; sister Tereza Mina and her husband George Mina of Livingston; sister Louris Labib Awad and her husband Ezzat Riad of Egypt; brother David Awad Abraham and his wife Amany Abraham of Sparta; and brother Attalla Labib Awad and his wife Amal Atalla of Egypt; sister-in-law Gina Awad of Monroe; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Coptic Orthodox Church, 433 Riva Avenue, East Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park in Jamesburg. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com) 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the National Down Syndrome Society in memory of her everlasting love for her grandson, Brighton.
