I have so many beautiful memories. She was big Beth and I was little Beth. Whether it was Jack, Beth and the boys coming to Vancouver or us going to 100 Mile House to visit there. There were exciting concerts at Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Swimming at the lake with John and Chad and their lovely dog Michelle. In later years we saw less of each other but we were pen pals. When email came along we kept in touch that way. I was so pleased to introduce my boyfriend at the time, now husband Dave, when we made a road trip to their place near Lone Butte. My deep regret is that I didn’t make it back to visit again. I also have some great memories with Jack and Beth at my 40th birthday. I have been the lucky recipient of beautiful glass pieces that I treasure for many years and will think of Beth, her laugh, her sense of humour, her generous nature every time the light shines through them. When Facebook provided a place for us to chat and share photos I got to see her real treasure, her boys and their families. One of the best quotes there from Beth in 2022 “…my mom told me long ago how time goes faster as she got older…I had the balls to laugh at her and say..the days still have 24 hours…now I hear her saying…told you so…”. We spoke on the phone often and I would hear all about her time with the grandchildren and “her bitches” as she lovingly and laughingly referred to her kitties. She was so proud of her family. She also expressed how proud she was of her cousin Phyllis, sharing a photo of the two of them in 2021 and saying “For sure she has made an impact on this world.” I would say Beth made a huge impact too. I will miss her. Love to John, Chad and “the littles.”
