Elizabeth's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Ashley Hubbard, who was born on January 17, 1996 and passed away on August 5, 2025. Elizabeth was a luminous figure, a bright soul that illuminated any room she walked into. Known for her fearless attitude, she constantly reminded us to never give up, and to keep fighting even in the face of adversity.
Elizabeth will always be remembered for her notable portrayal of Dorthy in a Wizard of Oz performance at Crossing Points (UA). Her vibrant energy and enthusiasm enthralled the audience and left a lasting impact on all those who were fortunate enough to witness her performance. She carried her love for life and people everywhere she went, even gracing the Mardi Gras parade in LA as the queen.
Survived by her father, Dwayne (Michele) Hubbard, mother, Ashley (Jack) Joiner, and siblings; Alyssa (Kaleb) Harmon, Hunter, and Joey Hubbard, Jackson and Jacob Joiner. Elizabeth's presence will be deeply missed. Furthermore, she is survived by her grandparents Paul (Gloria) Hubbard, Max (Lynda) Joiner, David Manderson, and Elizabeth Burkett. She is also survived by a host of aunts and uncles; Joey (Amy) Hubbard, Karen Burkett, Jason Burkett, Jennifer (Chris) Walker, Jason Manderson, Joe (Wendy) Joiner, and a host of cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandmother Vickie Manderson, and her grandfather Dennis Burkett.
Elizabeth was a warrior. She lived as hard as she loved and always had a radiant smile on her face, no matter what trials she was going through. Her legacy lies in the relentless love she had for life. Elizabeth was a beacon of hope, a bright light even on the dreariest of days. Her spirit will forever live on through the love and memories her family and friends share.
In this time of grief, we celebrate the vibrant life of Elizabeth Hubbard. She enriched our lives with her unyielding courage, her love for life, her constant smiles, and her memorable performances. We will fondly remember her as the beautiful butterfly that brought color to our lives. May her soul rest in peace.
