DeDe's obituary

Elizabeth "DeDe" DeAnn Herbert 1968–2019

DeDe passed from this life on Monday, August 5th, 2019, at 51 years of age. She was born on June 16, 1968, to Beth Grover and Robert Herbert. She was the youngest of four children. DeDe was outgoing, friendly, and intelligent. She was a consummate free spirit with a loving and curious soul. DeDe was a beacon of warmth, sociability, and outgoing spirit, touching countless lives with her vibrant presence. DeDe was very accepting of all people and made friends easily. From childhood and throughout life, she amassed a large following of lifelong friends and admirers.

As a child, DeDe lived with her mother in Idaho Falls and would spend summers in Logan and Saint George Utah with her cousins, aunts, and uncles. As a free-spirited, DeDe found peace and joy in the outdoors and being in nature. DeDe loved to travel and lived in many different places including Idaho, Utah, California, Maine, Rhode Island, and Saudi Arabia. DeDe was an adventurous spirit, always ready to take on the world, and was a woman who encouraged all those around her to embrace life's surprising beauty.

DeDe’s greatest joy in life was becoming a mother and spending time with her children. DeDe was the mother of three boys and one girl. She is survived by her sons Marcus Joshwa Bonnenberg, Elijah Zane-Dupree Hughes, and Caleb Herbert, and a daughter Elizabeth Evangeline Quaglieri. Above all, DeDe was a devoted mother, an accomplishment she held dearer than any other. The love and strength she poured into shaping her children's lives is a testament to her unconditional love and formidable spirit. Her children were her life’s pride and joy. DeDe’s spirit lives on in her children. You can catch a glimpse of her in her children’s faces, as she passed on her beauty and big, green, sparkling eyes.

We honor DeDe’s life today and our memories of her will always be precious. DeDe was a positive force and a unique person. She made a loving connection will almost everyone she met, and we will keep our love for her forever in our hearts. DeDe's greatest lesson to all was simple yet profound: to love and accept all people without judgment. Her compassionate and accepting heart was a haven for many, and her legacy is one of kindness and generosity. She may no longer be with us in body, but her spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
