Elizabeth's obituary
Elizabeth "Beth" Garcia, age 89, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on July 27, 1936, in Alamosa, Colorado, she lived a long and meaningful life rooted in love, faith, and generosity.
She was the devoted wife of the late Quentin Garcia and the loving mother of Edward Garcia, Debra Corona, and Irene Molinar—all of whom preceded her in death. Though marked by profound loss, Beth’s spirit remained resilient. She offered warmth and comfort to those around her, becoming a constant light even in times of sorrow.
Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Ray (Ashley) Garcia, Carlos Corona, Sonia Hernandez, Amber Garcia, and Jaime (Jeraylee) Molinar as well as many great and great-great grandchildren. In their hearts and lives echo the lessons she gently taught—of kindness shared without condition and love expressed in everyday acts.
Rooted deeply in her Catholic faith, Beth found solace and purpose within her church community. Her devotion was reflected not only in prayer but also in how she lived—with grace that asked for nothing in return.
Beth's hands told stories—through every tortilla rolled out with care and each simmering pot that gathered family close. Her kitchen was a sanctuary of flavor and affection. She also delighted in playing bingo—a simple joy that brought laughter and connection into her days. And always, there was purple—the color she loved most—a small yet vivid symbol of her vibrant soul.
In every soft-spoken word and every tender gesture, Beth left behind a legacy as enduring as it is heartfelt.
May Elizabeth "Beth" Garcia’s memory be a gentle blessing to all who knew her.
Funeral services will take place at Sacred Heart Church on January 30th at 9:30 am with interment following at Alamosa Cemetery.
