Elizabeth Cross Armstrong, 48 of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully with her family and loved ones at her side on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

Elizabeth, also affectionately known as Liz, was born on December 26, 1975 in the Bronx, NY. She is the daughter of Oswald Cross and Lena Cross.

Elizabeth was the loving wife of Ryan Armstong for 3 years. Elizabeth and Ryan were married in a beautiful wedding on the white sands of Clearwater Beach on October 25, 2020.

Elizabeth went to St. Ursula Academy High School, where she met her best friend of over 35 years, Nicole Alacan. Elizabeth had a passion for teaching children and received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Stony Brook University. She was a talented Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher in both the Bronx, NY and White Plains, NY.

Elizabeth was a devoted Christian for the past 27 years and was baptized in the Bronx Church of Christ in 1996, deciding to make Jesus lord of her life. She loved to throw creative theme parties for her friends from church with incredible attention spent on decorations, party favors, the type of food and the order of the music. She even sometimes was the DJ. After moving to Florida, Elizabeth became a beloved member of the Orlando Church of Christ.

Elizabeth is survived by her older sister, Helen Lynch, brother-in-law Jerome Lynch, younger brother Oswald Cross Jr., sister-in-law Hadiah Cross, nephews Elijah Cross, Azariah Cross, Adonijah Cross and nieces Elisha Cross and Amariah Cross, a host of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and god-children. Plus her best friends Nicole Alacan and Lea Gordon.

Elizabeth’s family invites loved ones and friends for a viewing from 10:00am - 11:00am on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Orlando Church of Christ, 2400 S Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822, with service immediately following at the same location. Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Orlando Memorial Gardens, 5264 Ingram Rd, Apopka, FL 32703.
