Elizabeth's obituary
Born on May 26, 1911, in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late William (Bill) and Jennie Weir Jones. She resided in Loomis Park for many years before moving to Ohio in 1989.
Mrs. Powell was a member of First English Baptist Church, Nanticoke, and Nanticoke Chapter 174, Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nelson Bush; second husband, Don Powell; and four brothers, Richard, William (Bill), John and George Jones.
Surviving are her son, Nelson (Bish) Bush, Portsmouth, Ohio; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Edwards, Hamburg, N.J.; and Jean Pyscoty, Long Island, N.Y.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with Kenneth Turley, pastor of First English Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Officers and members of Nanticoke Chapter 174, O.E.S. will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.
