Elizabeth Ann Bauman passed away on May 28, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Elizabeth had a heart full of love for her family and friends, and she lived a life marked by generosity, kindness, and joy. She found happiness in the simple things- spending time with her family, especially her nieces, nephew, and great-nieces and nephews, sharing stories about cherished family photographs and heirlooms, and making memories with her beloved dogs, Shaggy and Skeezicks.

Elizabeth had a gift for making others feel special. She loved giving thoughtful, and sometimes delightfully quirky gifts. This was her love language, along with spending quality time with the people she held dear. Whether it was a family dinner, a birthday party, or a holiday gathering, Elizabeth could always be counted on to show up with a smile and a present in hand, ready to celebrate and connect.

Her love for animals led her to work at It’s a Ruff Life Dog Boarders, and her passion for history shone through in her volunteer work at Living History Farms and the Urbandale Historical Society. Elizabeth was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society, just like her mom, Patsy Bauman, and her second mom, Judy Ory- a group that brought her joy, laughter, and community.

Elizabeth was proud to be a Bauman and proud to belong to a big, loud, funny family that loved her right back.

We will miss her thoughtful nature, her sense of humor, and her steadfast presence at every family milestone and gathering. Elizabeth is now reunited in heaven with her mom, dad, and her beloved fur babies, watching over us until we meet again someday.
