Elizabeth's obituary

Elizabeth Morris "Lizzy", 57, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, peacefully passed away on June 01, 2022  after a hard fought  battle with cancer.

Elizabeth was born on March 27, 1965 to Fred and Marie Crimes in Lake View Terrace California. After Elizabeth graduated from Alemany High School in 1983, she was offered several basketball scholarships and chose to attend Idaho State pursuing a degree in English. She enlisted in the United States Navy in 1984 as a  Mess Management Specialist and while enlisted gave birth to her daughter, her pride and joy, Alexis Marie Crimes. In 1994 Elizabeth was Honorable discharged as the Private Mess Specialist to the Admiral of  the USS Shasta. 

After serving Elizabeth worked in the Food industry and Retail industry as a manager and district manager. One day while working she was transfixed on a man that came into the restaurant, his name was Lee Morris. Their eyes met as he was mesmerized by her beauty.  They dated fell in love and soon married in 2000. They joined their families Lee's older daughter Tosha and son Michael from a previous marriage and Elizabeths daughter Alexis. Elizabeth was proud to spend her time following her daughters career as a professional volleyball player at home and abroad. She felt blessed to be a grandmother to Michaels son GianCarlos  and Tosha's daughter Cheyenne.

 Elizabeth was predeceased by her mother. She is survived by her husband Lee Morris; her father Fred Crimes Jr. , her older brothers Michael Crimes and David Crimes, her fraternal twin sister Lesley Crimes; her daughter Alexis Crimes, step daughter Tosha stepson Michael; grandchildren Cheyenne and GianCarlo; her nephews and nieces Adrienne, Michelle, Charles, Daniel, Jessie, Ladarra, Kendal, James Jordan and Noel; by loving in-laws and a host of long-time friends.

 Services will be held at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills Church of our Heritage  on June 14th at2:30 PM.
