Elishia's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elishia Barajas, who left us far too early on August 22, 2025. Born on November 20, 1991, Elishia's life was a testament to strength, resilience, and love.
A devoted mother, Elishia leaves behind her beloved children, Faith DeJesus, Mario Cardenas, Mia Cardenas, and Catalina Barajas. Her greatest joy was her family, and they will forever cherish the memories they made together.
Elishia was a woman of vibrant tastes and interests. She could often be found feasting on Chinese seafood and Mexican dishes, savoring the bold flavors and the comfort they brought. A connoisseur of Boba, Elishia's love for these drinks saw no limit.
Music was Elishia's therapy, her favorite being anything she could truly connect with. It was not uncommon to find her lost in a melody, her soul dancing to the tunes that touched her.
Elishia lived life on the edge, her spirit coming alive during off-roading adventures and at car shows. Her love for local tattoo shops was well known, these spots added color to her life both literally and metaphorically. Elishia's favorite color, purple, was a vivid representation of her personality - royal, enigmatic and full of depth.
Described by those who knew her best as stubborn, passionate and loving, Elishia was a beacon of light in the lives of many. Her life lessons taught us to carry empathy in our hearts, knowing that everyone is going through something.
Among her most admirable achievements, Elishia was the first in her family to wear the badge of a cop, and the first to graduate high school and attend college. These milestones not only brought immense pride to her family but also cemented her as a role model for her children and the generations to come.
Though Elishia's time with us was cut short, her spirit lives on in every life she touched. She may no longer be present in the physical world, but her memory will forever reside in our hearts.
