Elijah “Eli” Edward Rodriguez passed away suddenly on the 9th of May 2019 in Boonton, NJ at the age of 15. Born to Esmeralda Canarte and Edward Rodriguez in July 7th 2003.

Eli attended Boonton High School where his friends, teachers and administrators all admired him. Eli was hooked on video games thanks to his aunt Kelly. He loved anything to do with Mario. He would binge youtube fan videos of Mario and other game favs when he wasn’t playing with his brother. Eli was keeper, protector and best friend of his mother and brother.

Eli enjoyed reading, going on family outings and BBQs. Especially loved going to Medieval Times, to Hedden Park river to swim, the yearly carnival in Boonton, Ripley’s Believe it or Not and the beach. He loved traveling to Florida and Virginia Beach. He was an advocate against bullying and animal cruelty.

Eli is survived by his parents, his brother Adam, grandmother Hilda Grafals, uncles Felix (Jenny) and Edilberto Canarte, his aunts Kelly (Jen) and Lyanne Mandry and cousins Felix Jr, Tony, Angel, Leo, Nicholas, Mia, Gabby, Mikayla, Michael, Steven, and Kathryn.
