Elijah Cade Lee, age 22, of White Settlement, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Elijah was a welder by trade and an artist by nature. Even as a toddler, Elijah was drawing pictures and creating artwork. His natural inclination toward being creative only became more refined as he got older. From sketches, drawings, paintings, sculptures, woodwork, calligraphy, pottery, hand weaving, tapestry, loom work (from a loom he made from scratch), poetry, and so much more—he was a creative being through and through. After attending trade school like his late brother Solomon, he channeled his creative nature into a career in welding. His work ethic was impeccable. Elijah was always on time and never missed a day of work. He was reliable, detail-oriented, and intentional with everything he did—both professionally and personally.

Another talent of Elijah’s was cooking and baking—two traits he learned from his mom growing up. He was a phenomenal cook who took a genuine interest in the culture and history of every ingredient, as well as the science of putting it all together. Making delicious food for people or enjoying a meal together was one way Elijah showed his love. He had a particular interest in Asian and Mexican cuisine and made absolutely everything from scratch—even many of the tools he would cook with. His interest in various cultures was also evident in his music taste, which included K-pop, pop, Spanish, and even Mongolian heavy metal, amongst other genres. Moreover, Elijah loved to boulder/rock-climb with his Dad and brother and competed in several competitions.

Elijah was a “human computer,” with a wealth of knowledge, facts, and intellect beyond his years. Whether it was spontaneous fun facts or philosophical conversations, Elijah was incredibly well-spoken despite his quiet nature. He was incredibly intuitive, emotionally intelligent, and a great judge of character—a perfect addition to any group and a wonderful companion in a variety of environments. He loved being in nature and hiking, and with his knowledge of plant identification and his skills in foraging, hunting, and fishing, Elijah would be the person you’d want beside you in any off-grid survival situation.

Elijah’s quiet joy in making things for others—meals, creations, and thoughtful works—reflected his generous heart and compassion for others. He was intelligent, deeply thoughtful, and remarkably capable. He was soft-spoken and gentle, with a quiet presence that drew people in. He kept a small circle of friends, but those who knew him knew how special he was. He was kind, steady, and sincere—the kind of young man whose goodness didn’t demand attention but was felt by everyone around him.

Above all, Elijah was deeply loved.

Elijah was preceded in death by his brother, Solomon Lee; his sister-in-law, Annalise Lee; and his grandfather, Bruce Kelley.

He is survived by his father, Cade Lee; his mother, Gwen Lee; his sisters, Abigail Lee and Naomi Lee; along with extended family and best friends Edwin Velasquez, Jose Muniz “Pollo,” Nayeli Muniz, and their family, who loved him dearly.

Like many who feel deeply, Elijah carried more than he should have had to bear. He struggled in ways that were not always visible. He will be remembered not for his suffering, but for his creativity, his gentleness, his intelligence, and the beauty he brought into the world.

Elijah was deeply loved by so many people around him, and he made a bigger impact than he will ever know.
