Al, having served in the Marine Reserves, volunteered to do his duty in the military.
Al, suffered through different phases of Alzheimers, and succumbed to that brutal illness.

What is your mission?

Our mission is to understand the causes of Alzheimer’s disease, improve the care of people living with it, and find a cure.
How are donations used?

The majority of our funding goes to the Fisher Center Lab at The Rockefeller University under the interim leadership of Dr. Marc Flojolet. We also support other researchers around the globe that are working towards finding a cure.
What can be done with a $100 donation?

Any amount will help contribute to Alzheimer's research .
What progress has been made already thanks to your donors?

The Fisher Center Foundation funds scientists who continue to be at the forefront of research into the understanding of beta amyloid, a protein that is at the root of Alzheimer’s disease.
What is the history of your organization?

Philanthropists Zachary Fisher and David Rockefeller joined forces to establish the Fisher Center with the singular mission of finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease through scientific discovery. The Center opened shortly after Zachary Fisher’s wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. His dream was to help discover the cure so others would not have to suffer through the ravages of this disease that he and his wife had to.
