Our beloved mother, sister, and grandmother Elia Cavazos passed away on January 13, 2024 at the age of 76.

Elia Cavazos was born on July 24, 1947 in Pecos, Texas to Adalia & Ascencion Acosta. Elia moved to Arizona with her husband Jose in 1973. Elia enjoyed sewing, gardening, volunteering at food banks, school field trips, and A New Life thrift store.

We know she is at peace with God, who has called her home. Her spirit will be with us forever. Elia is proceeded in death by her husband Jose Angel Cavazos, her daughter Joann Cavazos, and her parents Adalia and Ascencion Acosta.

Elia is survived by her daughter’s and son-in-law‘s, Alma and Mike Garcia of Fort Stockton, Texas, Christina and Cory Reid of Goodyear, Arizona, & her son Joe Cavazos of Buckeye, Arizona. Elia also has 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Elia will be remembered for her boldness, determination, and infinite love for her family.
