Eli's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eli Hartnett, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Born on November 21, 1972, Eli's vibrant presence graced the world until he unexpectedly left us on April 27, 2023.
Eli is survived by his wife, Alicia Hartnett, with whom he built a beautiful life and partnership. Together, they provided ongoing love and support to their blended family of four intelligent, compassionate, and loving children- Jessica, Haley, Connor and Katelyn- and a handful of dogs and cats!
We will be having two celebrations of life for Eli. The first will be held on May 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Sidney Commons/ First Christian Church in Port Orchard, WA. The following weekend, May 20, 2023, at 12pm we will be gathering at the Legacy Billard's Bar and Grill in Spokane. All who knew and loved him are welcome to gather and share memories of his remarkable spirit.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, Eli brightened the lives of all who knew him. His incredible wit, outgoing nature, and kindness endeared him to countless friends and acquaintances. Eli was a man of wisdom and "dad" knowledge, always eager to share his insights with those who sought his advice or just happened to be sitting in his barber chair.
As a successful barber, Eli touched the lives of many through his skill and his genuine interest in the lives of his clients. His true legacy, however, lies in the happiness and love he generated wherever he went. Eli was everyone's friend; he could always be counted on to offer a warm "hello" and brighten the day of those he encountered.
In addition to his love for his family and friends, Eli was passionate about music and concerts, and of course is known for his love of DMB and going to Labor Dave at the Gorge every year! Eli could always be counted on for posting funny and sometimes inappropriate memes and pictures on FB and Instagram, and it was rare that a day or two went by without a picture of his new puppy or his car!
As we mourn the loss of Eli Hartnett, we are reminded of the importance of expressing our love and appreciation for those around us. The outpouring of love and support since his passing has been overwhelming, and we know that Eli's spirit lives on in the many lives he touched throughout his time with us.
