Elena's obituary
Elena Montalvo Gonzalez November 29, 1942 - June 27, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elena Montalvo González, who peacefully went to be with her Lord on June 27, 2025.
We remember and honor Elena not only as a mother but as the heart and foundation of her family. Steady and strong, she was completely devoted to those she loved—especially her sons.
Born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, Elena moved to the United States at age 12, bringing with her the warmth and traditions of her homeland. A masterful cook, she made her kitchen the center of every gathering; family and friends gravitated to her table. Elena thrived on the laughter and stories that filled her home, and in later years she discovered a passion for crafts, pouring the same creativity and joy into the projects she shared with others.
Sustained by deep faith and steadfast affection for her family, Elena gave of herself without hesitation. Caring for others was her calling, and her well of compassion never ran dry.
She also cherished the bonds she shared with her siblings. Built on shared memories and unconditional affection, their relationships formed an unbreakable circle of support throughout her life.
Whether as a mother, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother or friend, Elena was the steady foundation on which her entire family depended. Her faith in God gave her the strength and peace she freely shared with all who knew her.
Elena is survived by her beloved sons, Thomas, Jorge, Robert and Ronald Melendez; her adored siblings, her cherished grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many friends who were blessed by her care.
