With profound grief, we announce the passing of Elema Stanley on August 22, 2024. Born in the year 1935, Elema lived a fulfilling life, radiating joy, and positivity, she touched the lives of all those around her.

Elema was a devoted mother and is survived by her daughters Elana Bumpus, Edna Strickland, and Jeanie Williams. Her love for her girls was boundless and she dedicated her life to nurturing and guiding them.

In her earthly journey, she was reunited with those who led the way before her: her father, Willie James Braddy, her mother, Martha Carmichael Braddy, her brother Willie Bethea, and her sister Cora Braddy Semiene. We remember them all in our hearts, reminding us of the legacy Elema leaves behind.

Elema was vivacious and enjoyed the simple pleasures that life had to offer. Her favorite games such as Spades, Checkers, and I Declare War, among many others, were a testament to her playful spirit. Elema’s zest for life was contagious; she was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

May her soul rest in peace, and her spirit live on in the hearts and memories of her loved ones.
