Eleanor Rose Recker (née Karner) gained her angel wings on November 10, 2022 at home, surrounded by family. Eleanor was 93 years old.

Eleanor enjoyed a wonderful life and was a blessing to her beloved husband, 5 daughters, 11 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 1 great granddaughter and 4 great grandsons.  She was a master of cooking for her large family and of any and all crafts, especially quilting. Not a day went by where Eleanor didn't talk about how much her dear husband, Walter, children and family meant to her -- her family was arguably the most important achievement in her life.  Eleanor is survived by her 5 loving daughters and sons-in-law - Nancy Bandini & Greg Bandini, Susan O'Connor, Carol Vega, Christine Bahto & Richard Bahto, and Marianne DiMartino & Gerard DiMartino, 10 grandsons - Gregory Bandini Jr., Michael & Kerry Bandini, Christopher & Christina Bandini, Ryan & Jula O'Connor, Nicholas Vega, Anthony & Rachel Vega, Rick Bahto, Daniel Bahto, Vincent DiMartino and Dylan DiMartino and 1 granddaughter - Kaitlin O'Connor, and 1 great granddaughter- Kaelynn Bandini and 4 great grandsons - Michael Bandini Jr., Tyler Bandini, Luca Bandini, Lucas Vega and another great granddaughter due in December.  She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and countless cousins and friends. Eleanor was predeceased by the love of her life Walter with whom she shared 68 wonderful years of marriage and by her beloved grandson Devin O'Connor.  A funeral Mass will be held at Saint Thesese of Lisieux Church located at 120 Monroe Avenue, Cresskill, NJ at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to Wounded Warriors.
