Eleanor raised the bar for all who knew her for her graciousness and kindness. I miss her.

Aunt Eleanor was so balanced and calm. My home was chaotic and loud, and I loved to be around her and my Aunt Marian to absorb and observe their actions and mannerisms. It helped me understand how good it could feel to be strong and balanced.

My favorite memories with Aunt Eleanor are the Grant Family picinics❣️ She was so festive and so loving. I lived for those extended family events.
Sending my love to the whole family. Our relationship began with our parents in CA at the conventions. Your mom’s loveliness was stamped on my heart. May the Spirit of our Lord comfort you in your loss and bring joy to your memories and hopes for the eternal future.

My very fond condolences. Though I only knew Eleanor and Don over the course of some five or six years over the past decade, their smiles, deep graciousness, and caring for others warmed a special place in my soul.

Thinking of Eleanor always brings a smile because she smiled almost constantly, even through tough times. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to know her. I know her family will carry on with the strength and grace with which she carried herself.

This memory is from my mother, Donna Macias:

Dressed as a pumpkin, so precious and sweet--at a Halloween Party put on by the Church.

Eleanor was pregnant with Laurie, made up like a pumpkin.  It was the beginning of a long, close Friendship.

After a time in the Covenant Church, we began attending a wonderful Bible Study in a Foursquare Church, a very new thing for Eleanor who had strong fundamental beliefs. Lots of questions, but eventually, after the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, healing and prophecy became part of her. Then came Sam Fife, and meetings were in a home.

I,  knowing nothing, and still quite new Christian who took the Bible literally, heard Bro. Sam and thought it was a pretty simple message, but....on the way home, Eleanor thought otherwise. This was all good for me. It made me understand more and also inspired me to really study because we discussed these things A LOT. She could disagree, but it never affected relationships. She was very good for me.

Our children became very close friends. Our son and her boys, our daughter and Laurie. Friends to this day, only distance separating them.

I have always been very thankful for our close relationship, not just us but also our husbands, and the four of us have so many wonderful memories of dinners, parties, outings.

I cried a number of times after she told me they were moving to Alaska. I was really shaken by that. Not only was my good friend moving, but I felt we needed her in the little Fellowship which was in her home. Father knows Best!! I had to realize that it was the Lord calling them to Alaska, but I surely did miss her and the whole family.

I have always been thankful for our close relationship. Distance hindered but could never separate us. I will always be thankful for the Marsh Family. I Love them all very much!
