Eleanor's obituary
Eleanor Joan Gallant of Myrtle Beach, passed peacefully, surrounded by family on April 17th, 2026. While on vacation with family on Ussepa Island, FL, Ellie suffered a stoke. This sudden loss has been devastating to those who love her dearly, but we find comfort knowing she truly had to most beautiful last day in paradise, with those she loved dearly. She reclaimed to the EMT’s “I saw the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen!”
Ellie grew up in Templeton Ma, daughter of George Gallant & Ida (Richard’s) Gallant . She was the sixth of nine siblings, who were raised in the patch in Turners Falls. Ellie’s kind nurturing soul, always put others needs before herself. She cared so gracefully for both of her late parents, two sisters, & her eldest daughter, in their times of need. She felt so incredibly blessed to have her youngest daughter, Angie, helping, caring & spending quality time with her, over the last few years.
Our sweet angel, Ellie, truly enjoyed life to the fullest, each and every day. Listening to country music & dancing daily, was one of her greatest pleasures in life. Studying her family genealogy, also brought her so much joy. Incredibly proud of her Native American heritage, she visited Prince Edward Island with both daughters, to learn more about their ancestors.
To know Ellie, was to love Ellie. Her presence brightened & warmed those around her. She will be missed dearly, by so so many. We can only hope, and if you know her, you know she’s raising hell with her angels up there💗
