Elaine Matelde Southerland, (Mama, Nana, GranNan) of Manchester Georgia, passed away on July 5, 2022 at the age of 78. She was born on May 7, 1944 in Patterson New Jersey, where she grew up and earned her living by working in the nursing field during the early part of her life. Later in life she went back to college to pursue a license in cosmetolgy, allowing her to enjoy a career as a hairdresser until retiring.

Elaine is preceded in death by her father, Edward J Ball; mother, Catherine M. Gruber; brothers Leo J Bodanski and Ricky E. Ball; sister, Dolores M. Fox; and son, Joseph E. Morrow.

She is survived by daughters, Laurie Hood (Berry) and Shandy Morrow; grandchildren, Amber Bradley, Jessica Woodson (Chris), Shandra Blankenship (Ronnie), Stefanie Matthews (David), Destiny McCullough (Derrick), Hannah Flinchum, Sydney Flinchum, and Dalton Flinchum. As well as eight great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life at Way Of Life Church, 1126 Senoia Road Tyrone, GA 30290, on July 23, 2022 at 12pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 11am.
