Elaine's obituary

Elaine Joyce Owens – Age 80

On Sunday, April 23, at 1125 AM Elaine went to be with her Heavenly Father. She was surrounded by her children, grand children and great grand children.

Elaine Owens was born July 1, 1942 in Detroit Michigan. She was the eldest child born to Edna Mae and Reverend John Edward Lattimore, Sr.

Elaine moved from Detroit, MI to Flint, MI with her parents and siblings at an early age. She graduated from Beecher High School and Matriculated with degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan-Flint. Elaine loved working with people. She worked as Social Worker in her early career and during this time she became a Foster care parent. She was known as the block parent in her neighborhood (Ms Elaine). Prior to her retiring she became certified to help people in their homes. Elaine moved to Arizona in 2008 to be close to her family.

Elaine is survived by her two children,        Tanya Lattimore of Avondale, AZ,  Lillian Owens (Gregory) of Gilbert, AZ; two Granddaughters, LaToya Johnson(Anthony) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Ran’Disha (Sam) Romero of Chandler, AZ; five Grandsons, Marquion (Amber) Campbell, Darquiontae Campbell, Randy Campbell Jr., Makale Winfield, Stephan Davis of Gilbert, AZ. Six Great Grandsons, three Great Granddaughters and a host of other relatives and friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Edna and Reverend John Lattimore, her sister, Polly Allen, her brother, John Lattimore, Jr. and several aunts uncles and cousins.

Elaine was a 23 year breast cancer survivor.     In lieu of flowers the family would like for you to donate to Breast Cancer Research Foundation www. bcrf.org
